Is it Possible to Live Forever?

For those you who lived in the 80s, you must be familiar with the sound track Forever Young by Alphaville. This tune rocked the airwaves to the extent that the youngsters sang it enthusiastically by heart. The message in this song is about enjoying life to the fullest and making sure that you get the most of your experiences. The young ones by then had no idea that the essence of that song would become the subject of their lives at present.

To their dismay, they now grumble against turning another year older and looking as worn out as their leather moccasins back then. Growing old is part of life, and if you come to accept this fact you will come to realise that feeling old is just a state of mind. Its all about how you feel inside. Its from the inside that you will feel healthy and young. You will only be able to feel and look young if you strike a compromise with your body needs. In other words, your body, mind, and spirit must be in accord with your desires. All you need to do is make sure your physical, mental and spiritual states are compatible with what you want. That way, you will keep young and healthy with the least minimum effort.

The key to graceful aging is love, and appreciation for yourself while at the same time treating the symptoms that come naturally when you grow older. If you left these annoying symptoms on your body, you will feel inadequate about yourself. And this will affect how you feel. Get rid of these symptoms, accept what you can live with, appreciate all you have and dont limit yourself from feeling good. Keep away from your obsession with aging. Follow your natural feeling, and before you get to realise it, you have the perfect body that you had never imagined before. You are looking thinner, prettier and younger.

You can still feel the same person 20 years before as long as you allow your heart and mind to feel and think that way. Age is not how you look on the surface. Its what you heart and mind tells you. No matter how this sound to you, that notion holds water. Reflect about it. In fact, inside, you still have the same dreams and the same interests as when you were younger. What you see on the outside of your body has no connection with your dreams and interests. Keep confident and positive you will find yourself moving. An obsession about the fine lines and deep crevices on your skin will not do you any better. It will wear you down instead.

Our age is increasing by day and we cannot stop it. There are a few important points that you can always reflect on every time you feel troubled by the increase in your age.

1.Its not age that makes you feel pretty. Its your mind that describes what and who you really are. Age only accounts for one percent while attitude accounts 99% of what you are. There is no one else like you in this world. Do you feel special?

2.Dont buy the idea of the media when it comes to depicting what is beautiful. If you give all your time to reading all the beauty publications on the streets and book stores, you will get to realise that no woman qualifies to be considered beautiful.

3.You will never be too old for anything. Avoid restricting yourself. Go out, have fun with your friends. Dont let the feelings of insecurity take control of your mind. There is time for everything; time to knit sweater and time to stretch your muscles on the dance floor.
4.Work on how to express your emotions and keeping them in check. Find ways of getting over them as soon as youve gotten the chance to blow off steam.

5.You can find lots of love and comfort in your friends, partners, and family. Hang out with them as often as its necessary and always keep in touch. Avoid the company of people who make you look down upon yourself. They will only make your life more difficult.

Life is like an exploration and a good explorer is one who is courageous and pays attention to all that come his way. Grab whatever life throws your way and enjoy. You just need to reclaim it to be able to enjoy more of it. Thats what it means to look and feel forever young.
