Keep Healthy and Young with Good Posture

Have you ever wondered why we tend to have terrible postures? Let us look at a few possible reasons. In the past, it was the result of hard manual labor where farmers and slaves carried heavy loads and spent most of their day bowing down. We all know that technology is a recent innovation. Generations in the past didnt have the chance to use it. They had to do practically everything the hard way. Besides walking for miles just to buy an item in the local market, people had to carry all their purchases on their backs as well.

Today, technology is at our service. We expect things to change for the better. With it has come another set of reasons for bad postures. People just spend too much time hooked right in front of their computers. They dont have to produce all their needs since virtually everything is in the market. In fact its now common for people to buy their needs online and have them delivered right at their door steps. Additionally our diet today which involves foods with lots of sugar and fat is doing us more harm than good. All these things change the bodys makeup by decreasing our bodys strength while increasing its weight. Interestingly, as our average lifespan increases, there more chances of us ruining our posture.

When you get to visit a community centre for seniors, you will see that most of the older generation use canes, walkers, and wheelchairs to get from point one point to another. The general atmosphere in these places is that of persistent pain. Our elderly there are not happy. Would you wish to reverse this trend of events if you could? The covert effect of poor posture is on an individuals internal organs. With organs that are not aligned well, your body will not function well. This means that you can only improve your health and your appearance by improving your posture.

Anyways, we still reason to smile. Something can always be done about bad posture. All you need to do is to become more aware and conscious of strengthening your muscles so that you can adjust your bodys alignment. Here are just some of the benefits you’ll reap:

1.With proper standing and sitting habits, you will look thinner than before. Walking slovenly will cause your tummy to bulge, and believe me not, its not what you desire. Instead, always keep your chest forward and your stomach in as you walk.

2.Good posture will give you a younger look. People who stand up straight just seem more gorgeous because they look more relaxed in their skin. A strong, straight spine portrays youth and vitality. If your shoulders are kept straight and your head up, you will look taller.
3.Good health is associated to good posture. The way you carry yourself talks a lot about you. A person who feels good about their body inside out can be gauged by the way he/she sits, stands, and walks.
To keep your posture good looking, you just need to follow the shape of your body. You cannot go against nature on this one, or else you will end up paying a heavy price for it. Initially, this can be difficult, especially if youve spent most of your life slouching. Just keep reminding yourself to do it. It will eventually pay off.
