The Benefits of Childhood Memories

Ask anyone and they will tell you they enjoyed life the most during their childhood days. As a little child, you kept in high spirits and were always cheerful because you didnt have problems to trouble you, and responsibilities to be anxious about. Of course this does not mean that you abandon all your obligations to your friends, family, and work. You rather need to learn when to coil back in your shell and get used to the fact that problems will always be a part of life. Instead of allowing things take control of you, seek help from the upper hand. Whereas you need to take charge of the situation, it could also be very helpful if you looked at the world in the eyes of a child.

You need to start by getting creative, which requires that you be yourself, and bold even if it means you have to appear different. Children hardly get consumed by anxiety. Do they freeze in front of computer because they dont know what to write or say? No is the most likely answer. Why not take that journey back, into the unshackled creativity you had as a child, when no inner critic yawped into your head? You will find life a lot more enjoyable. Several researches have linked creativity not only to positive mood but also joy. Further investigations have concluded that people who express themselves in writing on a regular basis experience less depression, take fewer vices, and basically enjoy better health. Regardless of the way you do it, expressing yourself minimizes physical and mental stress. You incite your thoughts when you create something. Following up that lane can help you in more ways than you may have imagined.

A distinctive characteristic of a creative activity is the feeling of flow, losing track of time because you are so taken up in what you are doing. As a result of the flow, you will feel the creative juices running like the waves at the shore. A number of things can help trigger your creativity. Think about making a scrap book of your life or engaging in creative problem solving. Pretty soon, you will see the world, and all its possibilities open up. Bear in mind, you can always start from somewhere wherever you may be. Dont wait any longer to embrace life and make use of all the opportunities laid before you.

Train yourself to go an extra mile, and look beyond the box. Whenever they have chance to, children always ask questions about just anything. Admittedly, the rate at which they ask these questions may drive you crazy. This is a habit worth imitating though. Children persist until they get answers to things they dont understand. You too can follow suit. Learn to look around, and see the things that surround you. Do you see or find anything challenging around you? Being curious and conscious about what surrounds you will keep you more positive. You will acquire new skills, accumulate more knowledge and experience. The more you do it, the better your skills will get, thus boosting your confidence and wellbeing.

Age is inversely related to natural sense of curiosity. As you grow older, you become more insecure and find it increasingly difficult to adjust your schedule of activities. You can still restore your openness to new experiences though. Get rid of all those negative preconceived notions by going outside your comfort zone, even through simple acts. Talk to someone you have not known before, eat foods you have never eaten before, or comb through books youd usually disregard. That way, you will start to have a totally different view of things. Avoid making verdicts and just let your curiosity unfold naturally. Before you come to realize, you will see just how much more life is holding out for you out there.
